How I Get 'High' Before Singing On Stage - Gospel Singer, Dunsin Oyekan Reveals

Renowned gospel music minister Dunsin Oyekan has revealed his motivation and what he does before mounting any stage to sing.

Unlike other musicians who rely on alcohol or other substances before performing, Dunsin Oyekan disclosed in a conversation with content creator Timi Agbaja that he used to get ‘high’ in the Holy Ghost by praying in the spirit before performing his songs.

Speaking on the issue of payment for secular singers and gospel ministers which has become a topic of controversy on and offline, Dunsin Oyekan said he does not request payment for his performances.

Oyekan, recognized for his distinctive white attire, explained that although he does not charge to minister in churches, he understands that some of his colleagues have their own reasons for doing so.

Oyekan emphasized that his dedication to his calling prevents him from accepting fees for his ministry at events.

Furthermore, he expressed gratitude for God’s continuous blessings, despite not charging for his services.

“It is a dicey question; it depends on what the Lord has told you; I call it your consecration; my consecration demands that I don’t charge, but God blesses me,” the gospel singer said.

“I get high in the Holy Ghost, by praying in the Spirit, I ascend into the realm of Spirit,” he added when asked about getting high.
