Naira Abuse: Cubana Chief Priest Breaks Silence After Bail

Renowned Nigerian celebrity barman and social media influencer, Cubana Chief Priest, has finally spoken out about his recent encounter with the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The Nation Post reported earlier that Cubana Chief Priest pleaded ‘not guilty’ to charges of tampering and abusing the naira during his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday.

The charges against the popular socialite and businessman revolve around his alleged actions at various social events, resulting in three counts of naira abuse.

Cubana Chief Priest was formally charged before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos by the EFCC.

After entering a plea of not guilty to the charges, Cubana Chief Priest was subsequently released on bail of ₦10 million, with two sureties required to provide the same amount each.

Subsequent to the court’s decision, the socialite took to his Instagram page to assert his innocence.

He wrote, “Seeing All You Messages & Love I’m So Humbled. Now It’s Confirmed CP No Small. Money💸 Na Water💦”
