APC Chair, Ganduje Replies Kano Gov't Over His Suspension

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has asserted his unwavering position as the party’s leader, confidently informing the Kano State Government of his unshakeable stance.

In a widely circulated video, the former Governor of Kano State is seen surrounded by party supporters, affirming that he recently met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Ganduje proudly states that the President has assured him of his continued role as the chairman of the party.

He said, “Yesterday (Tuesday), I met with the president and I explained to him and he said he is also thankful for what you did. What was done is shambolic. He said you should be patient enough. This seat they are looking up to still stands unshakeable.

“Tell Kano State Government that the seat of National Chairman of APC in Nigeria is on Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. We are here unshakable.”

Recall that the APC recently accused the Kano State Government of backing individuals in Ganduje Ward to declare the suspension of the National Chairman.

Nonetheless, the government promptly refuted any involvement, describing it as an “internal crisis” within the APC.

In the meantime, the Kano State High Court has upheld Ganduje’s suspension.

The court, in granting an ex parte order, also prohibited Ganduje from continuing to present himself as a party member.

According to a document referenced by Daily Trust, Justice Usman Malam Na’abba issued the order on Tuesday.

Nation Post reports that this order came after Haladu Gwanjo and Laminu Sani filed an ex parte motion through their lawyer, Ibrahim Sa’ad.

The plaintiffs, who are recognized as executive members of the APC Ganduje ward, stated that they filed the motion on behalf of the ward’s executive members.

Gwanjo, who serves as the party’s ward Legal Adviser, announced Ganduje’s suspension two days ago.

The court directed that Ganduje refrain from overseeing all activities of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) moving forward.
