Trump Assassination Attempt: Suspect Is Registered Republican – AP
Few hours ago, former US President Donald Trump slightly escaped death at an assassination attack during Pennsylvania rally on Saturday.
Reports have confirmed that the suspected assassin who was immediately killed by Security Service Operative is a registered Republican.
According to a witness who spoke to BBC, he says they saw a man with a rifle crawling on a roof and few moments after they heard shots.
“Trump immediately dropped to the ground before standing up again and raising his fist to the crowd”, says the witness.
According to FBI, the attacker in the assassination attempt is a 20years old and named Thomas Mathew Crooks.
Trump was shot on the upper part of his right ear. He was noticed with blood on his ear and cheeks, but was immediately rushed the hospital.
In a reaction from Joe Biden, he condemned the attack, saying there is no place for such violence.
He therefore called on all Americans to denounce such “sick” violence. Leaders from across the world has condemned the assassination attempt.
Although, the former US President has returned to his home in New Jersey after been discharged from hospital.
