Rivers Refinery Not Completed Says NNPCL

The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited has confirmed that the Port Harcourt Refinery is yet to commence full operations. Nation Post reports that NNPCL will only commence full operations in the PH refinery after it has completed the regulatory and compliance tests.

According to the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, the refinery is yet to complete a few major tests. Soneye explained that immediately the tests are concluded, the refinery will immediately commence full operations.

Still speaking on the operational status of the PH Refinery, Soneye maintained that adherence to regulatory and compliance test is in view of NNPCL standards to ensure best global practices.

He confirmed that the refinery has received crude oil which has been stocked in the facility, stressing that all crude lines are currently active and that the required tests is underway.
