Peter Obi Secures Support Of Northern Group Ahead Of Planned Protest
In northern Nigeria, a political group has thrown its unshaken support for Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The group, Arewa Indigenous Obedience Forum had on monday in a press conference expressed confidence in the emerging victory of Peter Obi in the next election.
This is happening at a time when increasing hunger and hardship has become unbearable leading to a planned nationwide protest.
According to the Forum’s Coordinator, Engineer Alkassim Awwal, the group is pushing for a wide-reaching alliance to create a strong foundation for a better future in Nigeria.
He says, “We listened as Peter Obi literally begged Nigerians to listen to his vision, yet we dismissed it as one of many political talks that we have heard in the past”.
“We now read the clear handwriting on the wall. We recalled the ethos of truth and sincere pledges to revive Nigeria’s economy and revamp our innate patriotism,” Auwal added.
