NFF Finally Unveils Finidi George As Super Eagles New Coach
Finidi George has officially been introduced as the new head coach of the Super Eagles.
Nation Post reports that the 53-year-old was unveiled at the Nigeria Football Federation secretariat in Abuja on Monday.
Notable figures, such as Nigeria’s Sports Minister John Enoh, NFF president Ibrahim Gusau, and the soccer house’s secretary general Mohammed Sanusi, attended the unveiling ceremony.
This ceremony marks the beginning of Finidi’s tenure as the head coach of the three-time African champions. Previously, Finidi served as an assistant to former coach Jose Peseiro for a period of 20 months.
He also took charge of the Super Eagles as a caretaker coach for the friendly matches against Ghana and Mali in March. Finidi’s first official game in charge will be against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana next month.
