June 12: More Nigerians To Enjoy Dividends of Democracy – Speaker
As Nigerians celebrates the 25th anniversary of uninterrupted democracy, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, assures Nigerians of the democratic dividends.
Speaker Tajudeen Abbas made the statement on Wednesday during his democracy day address. He says, “Our democracy has matured over the past 25 years While not perfect, our democratic experience continues to grow.”
“Nigeria is on a path to becoming a country we can all be proud of”, he added. However, this year’s democracy day anniversary is significant especially for the National Assembly.
It marks the one year anniversary of the 10th assembly which was inaugurated on June 13 2023.
