Channels Television Reporter Kidnapped In Rivers

Joshua Rogers, a journalist working with Channels Television in Rivers State, has been reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen.

Nation Post understands that Rogers was abducted at his home in Rumuosi, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the State.

The incident occurred on Thursday night around 9 pm, following his return from work. He was confronted by the assailants, who took him away in his own vehicle.

Rogers, the Government House correspondent for Channels Television, reported on Thursday about an event in Ndoni, Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni LGA of the state. Governor Siminalayi Fubara commissioned a primary healthcare centre that was built and donated to the state by former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili.

Reports indicated that the criminals had contacted his spouse, requesting N30 million as ransom.

Despite attempts to reach out for a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, was unavailable to answer her phone calls.
