Breaking: PASAN Members Block Entrance, Exit Of NASS Complex As Nationwide Strike Begins

Members of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), a branch of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), have reportedly positioned themselves at the entrance and exit points of the National Assembly (NASS).

Nation Post gathered that some employees who arrived early to oversee the adherence found two large buses obstructing the entrance and exit gates.

A similar scene unfolded at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, where our journalists observed that individuals looking to travel by air were unable to enter the airport due to a blockade by the protesting workers.

It is worth noting that the nationwide strike initiated by organised labour, which includes the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress (TUC), commenced today after the tripartite committee established by the Federal Government failed to reach an agreement on a new minimum wage.

As a result of this development, the national grid has already been shut down.

Public Secondary Schools across the country were noticeably shutdown this morning as members of the labour union launched into the strike with full-force.
