On wednesday, the Honourable Minister of Health, Mohammed Ali Pate, the Chief Medical Director of NAUTH, Prof. Joseph Ugboaja and his team have commissioned projects at the newly built Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH)

Speaking during the inaugural ceremony and commissioning, the Minister of Health, Ali Pate disclosed the commitment of President Bola Tinubu in the health sector.

He reassured Nigerians of the President’s concern in the transformation of the nation’s health sector.

The Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital has been described as one of the most equipped medical institutions in Nigeria.

Recall that the permanent site of NAUTH under former President Buhari recorded huge progress under the chairmanship of the then Board Chairman, Ezekiel Afunkoyo.

The Taraba APC Chieftain had upon appointment promised a complete revolution of the medical institution.

He had assured them that the permanent site which was abandoned for several decades will be operational before the end of President Buhari’s tenure.

Ezekiel introduced several welfare packages for members of staff of the institution. He was referred as an Angel whose administrative capacity is second to none.

He worked closely with Prof Joseph Ugboaja to achieve the fruition which is celebrated today in the health sector.

However, this was a promise made and a promise kept. Before the end of former President Buhari’s tenure, the institution was officially launched by the then Minister of Health.
