The EFCC probe into an 80billion naira fraud by Ex-Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello may have entered a new phase.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had few hours ago issued a global red notice on the arrest of Yahaya Bello.

The notice gives right to Interpol across all countries in the world under the International Police Organization (INTERPOL) to arrest the Ex-Kogi Governor pending extradition or surrender.

Recall that in April, Bello was declared wanted over alleged N80 billion fraud.

He was also alleged to have withdrawn $720,000 from Kogi state government account to pay in advance the school fees of his child.

Although the Ex-Governor enjoys the protection Custody of the current Kogi state Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, whom he handpicked as a Successor.

Yahaya Bello cannot travel out of Nigeria with the new EFCC global red notice to Interpol.

He can only travel to countries that are not members of Interpol like North Korea, Micronesia, Tuvalu and Palau.
