Super Eagles Coach, Finidi George Not Willing To Collaborate With Amokachi, Amuneke – Reports
Emerging reports claim that Finidi George, the newly appointed head coach of the Super Eagles, has no intention of working with his former teammates, Daniel Amokachi and Emmanuel Amuneke.
Since his appointment earlier this week, Finidi has yet to finalize his backroom staff.
Amokachi and Amuneke are said to be contenders for the assistant coach position. Both have also applied for the head coach position of the Super Eagles.
Reports suggest that Finidi prefers to select his own assistants rather than work with the two former teammates.
The NFF had previously stated that the new Super Eagles coach would have the freedom to choose his own assistants.
In other news, Bayer Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso, said that the club still has much work to do against Roma.
Bayern Leverkusen players were highly motivated and delivered their best to secure a 2-0 victory against AS Roma in the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday.
However, coach Xabi Alonso emphasized the importance of remaining cautious as they look ahead to the return leg.
