Police Officer Commits Suicide In Borno
A tragic incident has occurred in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, where a police inspector (whose name is being withheld) has reportedly taken his own life.
Nation Post gathered that the deceased officer was serving at the Gwange Divisional of the Borno Police Command.
Sources within the community told journalists that he appeared to be in good health when he was last seen three days ago.
The reasons behind his decision to take such a drastic step remain unclear.
Concerned neighbours residing in the Layin Bayan, Wulari Jerusalem area of Maiduguri raised the alarm on Saturday morning after discovering that his door was locked from the inside and a strange odour was emanating from his residence.
The incident was immediately reported to the metro Division of the Borno Police Command, prompting the deployment of officers to the scene.
