NLC President Warns Against Minimum Wage Removal From Exclusive List
Comrade Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) has said the National Assembly are a threat to democracy in Nigeria.
He had also raised alarm on the alleged plot to manipulate the minimum wage in the National Assembly.
The NLC President made statement on Monday while speaking to participants at the 2024 NLC Rain School, held at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
He said the National Assembly wants to move the minimum wage from the exclusive legislative list to the concurrent list.
Comrade Joe explained that the National Assembly is planning to pass the law allowing state Governors to determine minimum wage.
He warned that if such law is passed, labour will shutdown nationwide activities for one month. He there urged his comrades to be on standby.
