Nigerians must protect what makes the country exceptional – NUJ
The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), has admonished leaders and Citizens to protect what makes the country exceptional.
The union urged Nigerians to work tirelessly to eradicate anything that would bring the nation down. NUJ made the statement on Wednesday in a message to commemorate Nigeria’s Democracy Day on June 12,
The statement was made by Achike Chude, the National Secretary of NUJ. He encouraged continuous endeavour aimed at holding the political class responsible.
In his statement he says, “justice, equity, fairness, and inclusivity should be the guiding principles for political leaders as they fulfill their primary duty of governance”.
“Embracing these values is essential for us to collectively confront and overcome the security challenges and socio-economic issues facing our country.” he added.
