Matawalle Attends FEC Meeting as CSOs Commend Him for Fighting Insecurity

The Honourable Minister of State for Defence attended the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Thursday, presided over by President Bola Tinubu at the State House.

In a statement issued by the Civil Society Organization of Nigerian Forum, Matawalle’s efforts in tackling long-standing security issues were commended.

According to the CSOs, his leadership, marked by strategic interventions and collaboration with local communities, has garnered widespread acclaim.

The forum’s Public Relations Officer, Adejoh Audu, highlighted how Matawalle’s leadership has contributed to noticeable improvements in safety and stability across affected areas.

The Minister’s approach, which includes strengthening security forces and engaging with local communities, has been praised as a game-changer.

“These efforts have led to a significant reduction in violence and unrest, particularly in the northern regions that have been plagued by insecurity for years,” Audu said.

He further noted that Matawalle’s collaborative and inclusive leadership style is key to sustaining peace efforts.

Adejoh also emphasized the importance of collective government action to maintain the progress made.

“Matawalle’s strategies have inspired renewed confidence in the government’s ability to restore peace,” he added.

“His initiatives show that, with dedication and proper execution, the security challenges in the North can be overcome,” Adejoh said
