Niger Republic Mass Jail Break

The recent mass jail break in Niger Republic has raised concerns on the need for improved border security.

The entire River Niger region has placed a high security alert in avoidance of any further outbreak of crime.

According to reports, inmates made away with vehicles and weapons. They broke their way through armored gates, barbed wires and trenches.

With the unfortunate situation, a curfew has been imposed in the Tillaberi region. The mass jail break occured on July 12th in Koutoukale high security prison.

It has been described as a violent mutiny that bullied the Prison’s security guards.
