Heed Demands of Citizens Protesting: Oby Ezekwesili Tells Govt
Federal government and Nigerian Leaders have been told to heed the demands of protesting citizen against bad governance in the country.
As former minister of education, Oby Ezekwesili told Nigerian Leaders few hours ago. She made the statement on her X account.
Oby stated that no leader has ever succeeded against their people. She therefore urged the government to listen, persuade, and present a convincing plan of action.
Ezekwesili criticized the response of government to the protests. She explained that shutting down citizens, threatening, taunting, and brutalizing them only demonstrates a “tragic empathy deficit syndrome.
She however advocated for a “Golden Moment of Opportunity” for a national conversation on effective governance structures and directions.
