Fubara urges to charge Ex-LG Bosses With Treason
Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has been told to charge former local government Chairmen in the state with treason.
Members of the House Of Assembly under the aegis of G-60 made the call, alleging that the Ex-LG Bosses attempted to continue in office after their 3years tenure have elapsed.
This was made know to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday during a press briefing led by Ikenga Ugochinyere, Member representing Ideato North/Ideato South Federal Constituency in Imo State.
He further appreciated Governor Siminalayi Fubara for being a democratic leader. Other legislators present includes Aliyu Mustapha (PDP, Kaduna), Matthew Nwogu (LP, Imo) and Midaila Usman(PDP, Borno) were also at the press briefing.
Ikenga maintained that despite all Governor Fubara allowed the former local government chairmen to complete their three-year tenure unlike his predecessor, who upon election in 2015, dissolved the local government chairmen under Governor Amaechi despite order of court.
