FG Approves Takeoff of Consumer Credit For Workers
The President Tinubu led administration has again made citizen’s concern a top priority as it approves takeoff of the Consumer Credit Scheme.
Nation Post confirmed that the scheme will be rolled out in phases, starting with members of the civil service and cascading to members of the public.
According to the statement released by FG, Working Nigerians interested in receiving consumer credit can visit credicorp.ng to express interest. Although the Federal Government has also stated that May 15, 2024 is deadline for Interested workers.
The scheme was approved to address the increasing borrowing attitude of by Nigerians. This is coming few months after the federal government introduced the 100Billion consumer credit fund.
Recall that over 740billion was borrowed by Nigerian from banks between January to September 2023, thereby reflecting the socioeconomic hardship introduced by inflation.
