FCT Minister, Wike Confers Abuja Citizenship On Senegalese President Faye
The President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, was warmly received by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, during his visit to Nigeria.
Nation Post reports that Faye is currently on an official visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Wike, representing President Tinubu, welcomed the Senegalese President upon his arrival at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
As a gesture of honour, the FCT Minister presented Faye with the symbolic key to the city, granting him the honorary citizenship of Abuja.
This key symbolizes the rights and privileges of a citizen and signifies the strong friendship and cordial relationship between Nigeria and Senegal.
