Democracy Day: DSS Warns Against Violence
As Nigerians celebrates it’s 25th democracy day, the Department of State Services (DSS) has discouraged all forms of violent protests and public misbehaviours.
The Agency issued the warning on Tuesday night to organizations that plans to demonstrate on the June 12.
The warning was contains in a statement issued by Dr. Peter Afunanya, the director of public relations and strategic communications at the agency.
DSS encouraged citizens to decline any requests to participate in unlawful activities, restating its commitment to maintaining public safety and national security.
Additionally, the DSS advised anybody experiencing problems to make complaints through the appropriate channels, both legally and procedurally.
