Dangote Cement Trucks To Run On CNG

Nigeria’s richest man and CEO of Dangote Group PLC, Aliko Dangote has sai, he is ready to run all his cement trucks on Compressed Natural Gas(CNG)

He made the statement while speaking at the 15th Annual General Meeting(AGM) of Dangote Cement PLC. The meeting with shareholders was held in Lagos, Nigeria.

Speaking at the 15 AGM OF Dangote Cement, the CEO, Aliko Dangote expressed the readiness of his company to run all cement truck on CNG.

This is in line with President Tinubu’s agenda on adoption of alternative fuel for official vehicle by 2025.

During the meeting, Dangote also emphasized on the ongoing construction of a new six million tons per annum (6Mta) cement plant in Itori, Ogun State.

He assured shareholders that the plant would be completed in time. He said, “We made significant strides in our expansion initiatives, with the successful launch of operations at our 0.45Mta grinding plant in Ghana”

“This is increasing our total installed capacity to 52.0Mta. However, our 1.5Mta grinding plant in Côte d’Ivoire is making substantial progress and is nearing completion”. He added.
