Cheers As Xavi Makes U-Turn, To Remain As Barcelona Manager Next Season

Xavi Hernandez, the Barcelona manager, has reversed his decision to depart from the club this summer.

Reports indicate that the Spanish professional football manager had a meeting with Barcelona president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco on Wednesday evening.

Following the meeting, he had a change of heart and agreed to the terms to remain in control of the La Liga team.

This information was disclosed by football transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano, via his X page.

Romano wrote: “BREAKING: Xavi has decided to change his mind and STAY as Barcelona manager!

“After tonight’s meeting and Laporta insisting for him to stay, Xavi accepts Barça conditions and will continue as head coach.

“Formal steps to follow.”

Nation Post recalls that Xavi had in February 2024 announced that he would leave the Nou Camp at the end of this season.
