Cattle, Livestock Transportation Via Railway

The transportation of cattle and other livestock from north to southern Nigeria through the Nigeria Railway Corporation will recommence soon.

This was confirmed in a statement on Wednesday by the MD of Nigerian Railway Corporation, Fidet Ikhiria, while speaking on channels TV.

He explained that the Warri-Itakpe route will again begin to transport cows and goods in two months.

He stressed that the corporations envisions the modification and modernization of its transit systems.

Recall that the Nigeria railway corporation halted the transportation of cattle due to technical glitches in 2017.

Few days ago, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the Renewed Hope livestock reform implementation committee and announced the new ministry dedicated to livestock reforms.
