BREAKING: Violence Trail Protests In Bauchi, Kano, Abuja
Few moments ago on thursday morning, the nationwide showdown which commenced peacefully may have turned violent.
Reports from our sources uncovered that protesters in Kano State have set ablaze a bonfire at the entrance of state government house.
In Bauchi state, police had thrown teargas at Protesters and in Karu, Abuja, protesters are said to have ignited fire in a police division.
The protest and showdown is against economic hardship and bad governance in Nigeria. According to reports, the crowd, which had gathered from various parts of the city for a scheduled address by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, piled tyres at the entrance and set them on fire.
However, additional security assets are been deployed to the suspected locations to install peace and ensure a smooth protest.
