Reflections On To Hike In Cost Of Food 41 Years Ago
The above letter is a reminder that the temporary hardship, hike in the cost of food and economic struggles are not spiritual or unscientific.
This are situations faced by every country in every corner of the earth.
What we should bother more isn’t about violence, rage or war. We should worry more about initiating policies with pressures mounted through protests for the policies to be implemented.
I mean people-driven policies, developmental initiatives, amongst others.
If we have issues with bad governance, the elections are the best options we have. More than one year after and we talking about bad governance.
If this is indeed important, then it should have been done early, probably immediately after the elections.
We cannot completely blame the current administration for the challenges Nigeria is faced with today.
The challenges in Nigeria today is a result of unworkable policies, corrupt administration and i-dont-care citizens.
Years ago, I said to a gathering of people, “Nigerians are very unpatriotic and that is why they care not about the country but a time will come, when they eventually have been pushed to the waters to drown, it’s either they fight back or be drowned as cowards”.
