President Tinubu, Joe Ajaero, Festus Osifo Agrees On 70k Minimum Wage

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has on thursday approved 70,000 naira as a minimum wage for Nigerian workers.

The President explained that the new wage will be subjected to review after every 3years.

The approval was made public in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The wage was announced by the president during a meeting with leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC), led by Joe Ajaero and the Trade Union Congress led by Festus Osifo.

The meeting was held few hours ago at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Top Nigeria executives including relevant Ministers and appointees were present.

The meeting witnessed integrated conversation and an eventual conclusion on the new minimum wage award.
