Nigeria Army Commissions New Housing Infrastructure of Corporal Below Quarters
The Nigeria Army has commissioned a newly built 8 flats Corporal Below Quarters at Portharcourt Rivers State on Tuesday, 28 May 2024.
The new infrastructure was commissioned by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division, Nigerian Army/Land Component Commander, Joint Task Forces, South South, Operations Delta Safe, Major General Jamal Abdussalam.
The 8 flats Corporal Below Quarters was built by the Commanding Officer(CO), 29 Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Ishaya Manga. Speaking during the event of Major General Jamal Abdussalam commended the efforts of Lt Col. Ishaya Manga.
He lauded the CO for aligning with the command of COAS’s philosophy which bothers on welfarism and excellent administration.
Major General Jamal also emphasized on the collaboration within the Division, stressing how it has enhanced the execution of several welfare projects in the Division.
Further, he mentioned the ongoing efforts to improve living conditions by the Nigeria Army Headquarters. He noted that it will significantly improve the welfare of troops.
In a statement by the CO 29 Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Ishaya Manga, he expressed gratitude on behalf of the officers and soldiers for the completion of the project.
He says, “the success is attributed to divine grace and the support received from the GOC and the COAS, without which the project would have not been brought to fruition.”
The event of the commissioning in River State witnessed the attendance of commanders of 6 Division affiliated formations and units.
