Hamas Commends ICJ Ruling On Rafah, Invites UN Committees
The ruling of the International Court of Justice has received nods from the Islamic Resistance Movement(Hamas).
The ICJ ruling demands the Zionist entity to immediately stop the aggression on the city of Rafah, allow aid into all areas of the Gaza strip, permit UN Committees to enter, halt all measures that lead to genocide and investigate it.
A statement by the Islamic Resistance Movement has described how the Zionist have continued to commit the most heinous crimes, horrific massacres, the war of starvation and siege against unarmed civilians throughout the Gaza Strip.
The statement further maintains that it has expected International Court of Justice to issue a decision to stop the aggression and genocide against its people throughout the entire Gaza Strip and not just in Rafah.
It explains that what is happening in Jabalia and other governorates of the Strip is no less criminal and dangerous than what is happening in Rafah.
Hamas however called on the international community and the United Nations to pressure the occupation to immediately comply with this decision. It reads, “the UN must seriously and genuinely proceed in translating all UN resolutions that force the zionist occupation army to stop the genocide it has been committing against our people for more than seven months”.
“We affirm that the international community and all relevant UN institutions, particularly the UN Security Council, are concerned and obligated not to allow this fascist entity to continue its disregard for all international laws and conventions and to escape accountability and punishment. They are all facing a historic responsibility to achieve the principle of international justice and to commit to supporting our people’s right to freedom and self-determination and the establishment of the Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.”
