2024 UTME: 174 Deeper Life School Students Score Above 300 In JAMB
Deeper Life High School’s announcement about the impressive performance of 174 students who scored 300 and above in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination has garnered widespread admiration from Nigerians on social media.
Nation Post reports that the school took to its official Facebook page earlier and shared the list of its students who did well in the just concluded 2024 UTME organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The school social post reads: “Despite JAMB’s announcement that only around 0.5% of candidates nationwide scored 300 and above in the 2024 UTME, an astounding one hundred and seventy-four (174) students of DLHS exceeded expectations with flying colours by scoring 300 and above.”
Based on the information gathered from the school’s Facebook page, Ayeyemi Godsgift Ibukunoluwa has achieved the highest score this year, with a remarkable total of 362 points out of the maximum 400 points attainable.
Below are some of the students who scored above 300 in 2024 UTME.
It is worth noting that the school has consistently produced exceptional performers in the UTME, and this year is no exception. Umeh Kamsiyochukwu has emerged as the highest scorer for the 2023 UTME, achieving a commendable total of 360 points.
In line with the statistics provided by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, a significant number of candidates, specifically 1,402,490 out of 1,842,464, were unable to reach the minimum score of 200 out of 400 marks.
The board, under the guidance of its registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, has emphasized that the UTME is evaluated based on various factors.
Also Oloyede had stated that, among other reasons, the board considers the UTME as “only a ranking examination,” hence, its decision not to disclose the names of the highest-scoring candidates in the just-concluded UTME.
Also, the board urged Nigerians to be wary of any candidate parading printed result slips as the results are not currently in paper format.
However, Nigerians on social media have been sending their congratulations to the top-performing students.
